PSI of Oregon - Christopher Stewart: Tech Specialist/Senior Investigator

Hailing from Reno, Nevada, and the father of two handsome boys and happily married to Lisa Stewart, Chris arrived in the Coos Bay area in 1989, at the age of 5, an immediately became acquainted with the spirit of a child in the home that liked to throw a red ball at him Chris is a PSI of Oregon Team Leader and Technical Specialist, with most of his skills being used in the photography area.

Even by the age of 3, Chris had become well-acquainted with the paranormal; often seeing and speaking with his great-grandfather, who passed in 1969. Ironically, it was a skill his mother, Donna Stewart, also possessed as a child. Not only did Chris see and speak with spirits throughout his childhood, he could also see pets that had passed away. Like many, as he grew older, Chris put these ability away. However, since becomming one of the first members of PSI of Oregon, he has found that these skills are returning.

Chris's most memorable paranormal experience happened during a PSI of Oregon "investigation exercise". He looked up as he was being approached by a dark shadowy figure, that, the closer it came, the more quickly it moved. This incident was witnessed by two other PSI of Oregon team members. When the figure reached Chris, it stopped, seemed to look at him for a moment, and then slowly dissipated. "For a minute or two, I wanted to run," Chris says now, "But my legs wouldn't move!"

When asked what her favorite part of an investigation is, Chris replied, " I am right there with Dad (Rick Stewart) and Josh, in that I love the setup and breakdown of the equipment. Our team is such that we are encouraged to experiment with different camera angle and lighting, and we have found some great tricks that work well for us. I also love still photography on investigations, and will usually end up with 200 to 400 pictures by the time we are finished."

Chris's advice to those new to the paranormal field to study. "I am not convinced that what we do will ever be an accepted science. Regardless, we will continue to try to provide people with the best data we can, work as hard as we can, and hopefully more people will realize that there is a life after this one ends." Chris says. "So my advice is to work hard, believe in what you are doing, but also be open minded enough to see other possibilities. Just because it looks paranormal, acts paranormal, sounds paranormal, and feels paranormal, doesn't always mean it is paranormal. Everything else must be ruled out before declaring activity paranormal."

When not working with PSI of Oregon, Chris is a dietary manager, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their sons, Brandon and Ashton. He also enjoys photography and hiking the Pacific Coast trails, as well as muscle cars, and, of course, playing Modern Warfare with his best friend Josh Woods!

Strange but true - The starter title FNG stands for "F***ing New Guy", and the SSDD title stands for "Same Sh*t, Different Day".

In MW2, the Italian flag is backwards, the colours should go green, white and red - not red, white and green.
