The Fear Cage - Fact or Fiction?
There are so many theories on electromagnetic fields that I thought I would toss another one out here!
I am a firm believer in electromagnetic sensitivity, although I don't believe it affects a large number of the population, simply because I don't feel that a large number of the population is exposed to high level of EMF. This conclusion is my opinion only, and based on experiements I have conducted in approximately 100 homes and businesses. Please note that this is NOT fact, nor is it scientifically proven ---- it is simply a opinion, a theory, I wanted to toss out there to the paranormal world for feedback.
Many home and businesses have one thing in common - a fuse box of some sort. Over the course of my experiments, approximately 2% of those fuse boxes emit an extremely high EMF level. 2 out of 100. Another 18% emit a cautionary EMF level. And the other 80% emit an EMF level that is next to nothing. Faulty wiring and plumbing accounted for another 1% of high EMF, and electronics (when in use) accounted for another 4%. Of course, there will always be exceptions, and I could wander through another hundred homes and business and come up with completely different percentages. But I am using these percentages for the sake of this theory only.
But lets say, for the sake of argument, that 50% of homes contained one or more of the above instances that emitted a high EMF level. Does this mean that, because of the "fear cage" factor, that all paranormal activity must be attributed to EMF Sensitivity? I don't think so...and this is why.
Most paranormal investigators will agree that spirits require energy to manifest, to produce audible sounds and noises, etc. Many of us have seen our batteries drain before our eyes, as well as other equipment lose power. And many times, this is followed by some form of paranormal activity - be it a mist, a sound, a word on a digital voice recorder or whatever. So if a spirit must acquire energy to manifest or produce an audible sound, would it not be attracted to an area that produces a high level of EMF? Would it not move toward an area where power is thiers for the taking? Especially if that area produces an EMF level that is off the charts, so to speak? Are we discounting an area of a home or business that may very well house spirits because science says it is merely a high level of EMF?
Personally, knowing what I know from my years as a paranormal investigator, were I a spirit, I would definitely gravitate toward an area that had a high level of EMF. What more perfect power source? If I were a spirit, I would be pitching a tent near the fuse box! So why do we discount activity in such areas?
I would love to hear others opinions on this, and/or their experiments on this subject. I, personally, do not feel that the "fear cage" factor is our enemy - it may, in the end, be the home of choice for many spirits!
