The Paranormal - Are You Haunted?
The following are some signs that are often associated with a "Haunt". This is not meant to be complete list by any means. A location could be "Haunted" and have one, several, all, or none of the following occurrences. The following could also be associated with natural or man-made objects or means and may not have anything at all to do with the paranormal. Geological, electrical, plumbing, and environmental factors must all be taken in to consideration in each and every instance of possible paranormal activity. There are several types of hauntings. Investigators will try to decipher the type of haunting by the phenomena occurring. This is, often times, not an easy task. The major difference in types of hauntings is The Interactive and The Non-Interactive. The most important thing to remember is to attempt to find a logical cause for any occurrences, such as foot steps, voices or whispers, music, banging or knocking, slamming doors, etc. PSI always suggests keeping a log, or journal, of any suspected paranormal activity you may experience. Include times of occurances, types of occurance, those present during occurances, etc. Be detailed in your log, as it does assist the paranormal team in determining the type of activity you are experiencing. Some things you may want to document in your log are:
Unexplained Feelings: This category alone can cover a lot of paper! Cold or ot spots in a room or location that are out of sync with the rest of the area; Feelings of being watched, followed, or not alone in your own home, feelings of a strong presence (heaviness, changes in the air, lightheadedness, etc.) Feeling of being touched with no one else present.
Sight: This is one of the most important categories. Document everything you see! Whether it is out of the corner of your eye, moving shadows, glowing balls of light, fogs or mists. Be descriptive about visual appearance. Was the apparition transparant? Solid? Still? Floating? What you see is very important to the Paranormal Investigator.
Smell: The sense of smell is also very important in the paranormal field. You can experience strange scents that you are not familiar with or that do not belong in your home, such as perfumes, floral, cigar smoke, foul odors. You may also experience a familiar scent of someone you know who has passed. Document it all!
Unexplained Activities: Pay close attention to children with "Imaginary Friends", pets behaving oddly, objects moving on their own, electrical appliances acting stangely, problems with plumbing, windows and/or doors opening or closing by themselves, missing/disappearing and re-appearing objects, hearing or feeling breath when nobody is there, huge turnover in residence or business. Currently, in this planet’s history, we are going through physical, environmental and spiritual changes. These changes can cause "shifts" in our weather patterns and magnetic fields. All of this leads to a dimensional merging that makes it easier and for spirits and other paranormal phenomena to be experienced in our reality.
GHOST APPEARANCE CLASSIFICATIONS:
CLASS I - This type of specter is defined as an undeveloped form, insubstantial and difficult to see. The Class I's interaction with the physical environment is limited and enigmatic.
CLASS II - A spirit that begins to have actual visible characteristics and can physically manipulate things (i.e. poltergeist). Class II forms tend to be vague and inconsistent, like hands or a face just floating there.
CLASS III - When a ghost begins to take an actual distinct human form (i.e. face, torso, arms), it's classified as a Class III. Class III's can often change their forms as well.
CLASS IV - When an investigation reveals the former identity of a Class III ghost, it is reclassified as a Class IV.
CLASS V - An ectoplasmic manifestation of definite but non-human form. The theory is that Class V's are formed from emotionally charged events or locations.
CLASS VI - A non-human "animal" ghost.
CLASS VII - A Metaspecter with extra-dimensional powers that extend far beyond human. Powers often include the ability to change form at will, dematerialize objects, summon pests, or possess people and animals, just to name a few. This is extremely rare!
